In this project we met people (Italians, French and Greeks ) from different countries, with different language, religion, habits, history and culture! We had the chance to exchange ideas, to meet the families who hosted us and see how is to live in an Italian family. We saw historical monuments, we visited new places and of course went shopping!!!We noticed that there are a few differences concerning every day life between Greece and Italy. For example, the Italian people are used to eating many different things by having 1st , 2nd , 3rd plate , while in Greece there is only one food for lunch….Also the habit of drinking coffee only for five – ten minutes is totally different from the Greek mentality. For Greek people coffee is not considered as a moment to “take force” but more as a moment of relaxation and a chance to talk with our friends. (that is why we usually go for coffee for 2 hours) . However considering the fact that we got to know also the Italian mentality, we would like to say that people are very similar : They are warm, gentle and happy to host us just like in Greece. More over Italians drive just like Greek people (like crazy…..!) but they are more sensitive towards the pedestrians – In Greece we stop only when there is a traffic light !!!Furthermore, people in Greece work for 8 hours too every day but the working hours are not separated for lunch time, so they work from 8 – 4 or 9- 5.Finally as we can observe from the above Greek and Italian people have many similarities in their culture (una faccia, una razza) and that is why the existing differences can only enrich the relations between those two countries!!!
